Hi! I'm Angela

A Catholic wife and mom of two teenage boys, learning how to walk with God in the middle of real life.

Not in perfect quiet mornings.
Not in long stretches of uninterrupted prayer.

In the car.
In the kitchen.
In the middle of a full, sometimes overwhelming day.

I believe God meets us in our ordinary, everyday lives.

I didn’t grow up Catholic.

I came into the Church over 20 years ago, and like a lot of women, I’ve had seasons where I felt close to God… and seasons where I didn’t.

I’ve searched.
I’ve overcomplicated things.
I’ve tried to figure it all out.

And I’ve also lived real life… marriage, raising kids, building a business, navigating stress, hormones, and everything that comes with being a woman in this season.

What I've Learned...

What I’ve learned is this:

Growing closer to God isn’t about doing more.

It’s about learning how to turn toward Him… right in the middle of your life.

Not waiting for the perfect moment.
Not needing everything to be quiet or in order.

Just starting where you are.

What I Believe...

I believe God meets us in our ordinary, everyday lives.

I believe holiness is not reserved for perfect circumstances.

And I believe we can learn to walk with Him… in our thoughts, our stress, our homes, and our daily moments.

Why I started 'Catholic Woman in the Wild'

I didn’t start Catholic Women in the Wild because I had a perfect plan. I started it after a day of conversations I couldn’t ignore.

It began over lunch with a friend. We were sharing what was going on in our lives, the hard things, the real things, and found ourselves talking about God. How much we loved Him, how much we wanted to grow, and how, in real life, it doesn’t always feel easy.

She reminded me of the group our "Catholic Night" group of friends. We met at church, our kids were the same age, and we shared life and faith in simple ways.

A prayer warrior when life was heavy.

A shared book that meant something.

A quick “it’s fish Friday” text when life got busy and we forgot.

Those friendships moved out of the church building and into dinners out, holidays and a decades long text thread.

Nothing complicated. Just catholic women being friends, helping each other live life with God and friends.

Later that same day, I ran into a another friend from years back... who said, “I’m really trying… I just don’t know how to fit it all in.”

And that was it.

This isn’t about women not loving God.

It’s about how do we walk with Him in the middle of real life.

Not when everything is quiet.

Not when life is calm.
But in the middle of it.

That’s why I started Catholic Women in the Wild.

Not to give women more to do, but to create a place where we learn how to walk with God in our "wild" everyday lives, together.

Pics of my "Catholic Night" Friends and Me over the years.

If you’ve ever wished you had someone to talk to about your Catholic faith, someone who understands the messy middle of an chaotic life, I’m really glad you’re here.

10 things you should probably know about me if we are going to be friends...

1. I love Pride and Prejudice. The book, the BBC six hour commitment, and the 2005 movie. Mr. Darcy set the bar and I refuse to apologize for it. Yes, even the Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies version counts.

2. I’m a boy mom of two, which means I say sentences I never expected to say, like “Don’t hit your brother with a light saber unless he’s holding one too.”

3. I’m a Jesus loving Catholic. Yes, a rosary is almost always within reach.

4. I’ve been married for over 27 years, which taught me that real love looks less like fireworks and more like choosing each other on an ordinary Tuesday.

5. I love red wine, best enjoyed around a table full of friends, honest conversation, and laughter that goes on a little too long.

6. Mexican food is my favorite. Chips and salsa on a patio is my happy place.

7. I live a full, sometimes messy life, band booster mom, church volunteer, keeping up with schedules, dinners, and everything in between, and I’m learning to find God right in the middle of it. I also hate laundry.

8. I might have a slight addiction to podcasts and learning new things… but I’ve learned that faith isn’t just something we take in, it’s something we live.

9. A well written fiction book is my favorite escape, especially when the characters are complex and the tension makes it hard to put down.

10. I take my faith seriously, but I’m a work in progress (Praise God). I'm still learning, still growing, and still figuring it out with God.

If that all feels familiar, we probably would be good friends.
