The Problem

As an entrepreneur, I always tried the latest business building program. That should be all it takes, right? But, You and I both know that following the plan alone doesn’t bring lasting success.
Remember the feeling that came over you last time you downloaded the newest book on business growth? Was it hope? Was it doubt? Maybe a bit of both?
The truth is most of us can feel a wide range of emotions when we find a new entrepreneur book. I expect you are a lot like me. You get excited. Find some great points to highlight. Feel some inspiration. And then, you begin changing up the way you have been doing things, so you can try some of the new ideas the book talked about.
But time passes and you find yourself stuck back where you were before you picked up the book. This is all too common.
Ladies, I am here to tell you that a new system or marketing plan is not what you need. Most of us have great ideas and plans at our finger tips. The problem is most programs only address the actions steps to take for success. That is not the answer.  The problem  is that we are multifaceted beings. We are body (actions), but we are also mind and soul. Because of this I found that if I didn’t address the whole person, then I didn’t have lasting change or success.
I believe our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes can positively or negatively affect our actions. In other words, our minds can affect whether or not we succeed.

If your mind believes something to be true, then the body will believe it.

You have probably heard of the placebo effect. It basically states that if you think something will work or act a certain way, then it probably will. Researchers use placebos when they conduct experiments.
I heard about one instance, when experiment with a group of college students who were told they were drinking beer.
However, it was non-alcoholic beer that could not get them drunk at all. The result was that many of them started to behave like they were drunk even though they did not drink real beer.
This illuminates the thought that if your mind believes something to be true, then the body will believe it.
The opposite can also be true. You may have heard stories of people being accidentally given the wrong medical diagnosis. When they learned they had a certain disease, they started to believe they were sick. It’s at that tim their body started producing the symptoms. Later, when the doctor called to clear up the mistake and tell them they were healthy all the symptoms went away. It is the whole mind over matter belief.


Habit change starts here. In the mind. When you want lasting habit change you have to address the mindset issues that are holding the old habits in place. It is the old beliefs that so often hold us back.
A limiting belief is a belief that constrains us in some way.
Louise Hay once said, “If you accept a limiting belief then it will become a truth for you.”

Ladies, Your behavior is an indicator of your beliefs.  Let me explain using money as an example.  If you don’t keep a budget or frequently have a negative balance in your bank account, then its likely you have a limiting belief around money.
Here’s a few examples of limiting beliefs about money:
  • I’ll never be wealthy.
  • We barely get by.
  • Rich people are dishonest or not good people.
  • I’ll never have enough money to have a nice house.
  • My friends will treat me different if I have a lot of money.
Can you see why it would be difficult to make a lot of money or have a successful abundant business when you have thoughts like this floating in your head.
This is the most common area that I help my one-on-one clients with, overcoming limiting beliefs.  Here is the process we follow to eliminate the old mindsets that don’t serve them or their goals.
1. Acknowledge there is limiting belief that is holding you back.
2. Identify the limiting belief that you hold.
3. Figure out where you came up with this belief. (Money Example: this could be from hearing your parents always talk negatively about money.)
4. Decide if you want to keep this belief.
5. Replace the thought “I choose not to believe this anymore. It’s not true.” Give yourself some evidence and example of how it is not true.
6. Create a new belief that serves you and supports your goals.
7. Create an affirmation to say in place of the old. “I always have more than enough money. Money flows abundantly into my life.”


Have you ever heard that your body can’t go where your mind hasn’t. Well to establish lasting actions that will lead you to success, we need connect the body to the mind during process of making your goals a reality. This connection is key to moving your business forward. 
Here are my top three ways to connect the mind and the body. 
1. Anchoring habits and actions with the five senses. This is connect a new habit or action with your five senses to increase the mind body connect and actually make the new habits last. I call this anchoring the habits or actions. It is powerful and works.
2. Visualization – This is what I would call mental rehearsal of a new habit or action. Picture it in your mind and then try to do it.
3. Tapping (EFT) – This is the Emotional Freedom Technique. TheTapping Solution.com
explains tapping as, “Tapping is a set of techniques which utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips – literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.” (https://www.thetappingsolution.com/what-is-eft-tapping/)
Your body is more powerful than you can imagine… filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing. With Tapping, you can take control of that power.

Soul: (Your Connection to God or Something Greater)

Many people find increased success when they include prayer and the spiritual sharing of the journey with their God. It is the connection to something greater than ourselves that can empower and give us strength when difficulties arise.
Having a morning time for me to meditate, pray, read the Bible, and journal on scriptures helps me to connect to God. I have also used this time to reflect on limiting beliefs and replace the negative with scripture and truths I believe.  The power of this to renew my mind has been more impactful than I can describe.

Who am I?

I am Angela Naumann, boymom, bookie nerd, and amateur wine taster. I’ve been married for over 20 years and love to go on adventures with my family.
