In this blog, you’ll learn 7 unique attitudes that lead high achievers to have a high level of productivity and a success mindset that sets them apart from others. Are you ready to step into high achievement?
You’re in the right place if:
  • You keep putting yourself out there like a rockstar, only to get a few likes. Be honest most of your engagement is still coming from your mom. Been there!
  • You can’t seem to get any traction on in your business. It doesn’t matter if you work 6 hours every evening after trudging through full time J-O-B (Journey of the broke)
  • You pushing money at your business, but can’t justify the time and effort you are putting in for the meager return you are getting.
  • You are sick and tired of not seeing any actual profits despite doing everything that all successful entrepreneurs “seem” to be doing

“It takes a different mindset to be successful in anything; that’s why there’s not a lot of super duper successful people, because it’s guys I know who may be ten times more talented than me, but they don’t work as hard.” Rico Love

Is that you? Do you fell like you are more talented that others, but still you don’t have the success you want?

What do you could you be doing today to help you move toward your goals? The challenge with owning your own business is some time you find yourself working, but not getting the returns you want.

Take a look at 7 Unique Attitudes of high achievers and see what is setting them apart from the crowd.

1. High Achievers Have Vision

Vision is the foundation of high performance. You create things 2 times.
1. mentally
2. physically

Biggest challenge to high achievement is not the physical manifestation of the dream. The strongest barrier that an entrepreneur experiences is the mental creation of the dream.

One of the biggest “mental creations” I remember having in my life was centered around learning to ride a bike.

I remember seeing other kids in the neighborhood ride their bikes without training wheels. I can vividly recall wanting to do it, too. I could imagine myself racing down the road with the other kids.

It would be like the scene in Goonies where all the kids road off to save their homes, parents jobs and ultimately their way of life.
So when the day came that my parents gifted me with that blue and silver bike that had the white basket on the front, I was in heaven. I knew this would be my time.

So when my dad showed me how to balance and how to kick off so the bike had some forward motion to help me start peddling I was attentive. I watched and listened to everything he said.

When he held the back of the bike and ran with me, I felt like I was doing it just like I had imagined. I didn’t even realize when he let go and it was just me. I was a bike rider.

Business is this same way. If you can’t even imagine yourself achieving your goal, doing the work to get there or even getting started, well friend…. it is not going to happen.

2. High Achievers don’t wait on others.

In fact they do the opposite. They move into action even when others don’t. Think of a traditional work environment.

The high achiever is not standing in the break room chit chatting with the group instead he or she is working. Not
just“working”, but producing a result that adds value to the company.

So friend, step away from the virtual water cooler (FB, your phone etc.) for a few hours to get some shit done. Your business will thank you for it.

3. High Achievers have high standards of work.

They will go the extra mile and do the things the average person will not do.

They will not only take on the everyday work that is needed to grow their business or achieve a goal, but they will also do the things other will not do.

They take on the difficult projects and complete them with a confidence that shows they know what they believe they can handle anything.

4. High Achievers form the habit of putting the pressure on themselves.

A high achiever doesn’t need others to give them deadlines. Nope, they create self imposed deadlines. They create their own sense of urgency to get stuff done.

Often they don’t just have a self imposed deadline, they also just generally give themselves less time to get things done. And this works for them.

The best illustration that I can think of to paint the picture of how efficient they can be is when you have surprise guests coming to your house.

I’ll never forget the lazy Saturday morning. The hubby and I had slept in (before kids days). We were in our pjs. and were now partaking in a delightful second cup of coffee.

As I lifted the warm and cozy cup to my lips the phone rang. It’s my grandparents. They are near by and would like to stop and visit. They will be there in about 45 minutes.

Guess what happens next. During that 45 minutes we got dressed, the floor were vacuumed and the kitchen was cleaned.

Now days I would even have one of the kids wiping down the bathroom with lysol wipes.

The essential oils would be defussing to mask the little boy smell that you just can’t seem to get out of that side of the house.

By the time the door bell rang that day, we were ready.

The funny thing is afterward, we joked that we need people to come over more often, because the house gets cleaned.

That, my friend, is a sense of urgency.

5. High Achievers Manage there thoughts and emotions

I have been there where I let my emotions control and run my life.

Several years back I was working at the beginning stages of my coaching business. I was just starting out. One of the things I would do to put myself out there was Facebook Live videos. I had been scared and stepped out in courage to give my best to my audience, so I was proud that I was doing them.

Until… I had a “friend” flat out make fun of me for doing LIVE Facebook videos and posting “selfies” about my business online. It was like a scene from mean girls but with grown women. I was crushed.

This was someone that I had trusted as a friend. In that moment, I knew she wasn’t a real friend to me, but I was still hurt. It shut me down for a bit. I was emotional, and I let those emotions stall my business.

I didn’t go LIVE for weeks. I didn’t admit it was from that experience. No I told myself I was busy, My hair was too dirty, I would do it tomorrow. etc.

Finally I realized that I was letting my emotions of fear and thoughts of being judged control me. I had to decide if I was going to continue to let someone else’s thoughts be my thoughts.

I decided that day, that I wanted to go back to the thoughts of being proud of my videos and the actions I was taking to grow my business.

Once I chose that thought, I started to feel at peace with my choices and even excited again about my coaching practice growing.

My managing my mindset took a huge step forward that day. I realized I became more of a high achiever managing my thoughts and emotions during this experience, than I did in the actual creation of the videos. Mindset was key.

6. High Achievers Take action

Once you have the mindset right you can move into action. The thing about high achievers is that they don’t just take action to take action. Their action is purposeful and creates a desired outcome.

They move a ways from tired hustle and passive actions like checking email, and embrace massive actions like meeting with prospecitve clients. They choose the actions that actually lead to clients and credit cards.

7. High Achievers are Personal Growth Junkies

What I love about growing my own business is all the personal growth I get to do. I am a self proclaimed personal growth junky. All high achievers are.

The thing is your business is like a plant. It is either growing or dying. There is nothing in between. You have to water your business, give it sunlight and prune away the junk so it can thrive.

That is what personal growth will do for you. It will nourish your soul and your mind. It will help you prune away what isn’t working, and provide the inspiration (sunlight) to propel you forward.

Friend, just like a plant, your business is either growing or dying based on how you are caring for it. What state is your business in?

So friend, what are you waiting on? What do you could you be doing today to help you move toward your goals? It’s your time to start rise and shine, own your to do list, and produce amazing work!

What people are saying….

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I had my first call with Angela. I’d had group coaching calls for programs that I was in before, but I’d never had a 1-on-1 call with a life coach.  From the start, Angela and I hit it off, there was no awkwardness for either of us and, from my perspective I didn’t feel guarded at all (which isn’t typical for me).

We got to know each other a bit and then dove into the questions. Many of these questions are questions that I’d heard before, and some I’ve even asked myself and journaled on, but Angela knew just the right way to ask the next level of those questions to get things to “click”.  In just an hour together I had so many take-aways and 2 pages of notes!!

I was literally holding back tears (the good kind) because I FINALLY felt a relief – or freedom – that I didn’t even know was missing. In the few days after our call, because of our call, I had some amazing breakthroughs that have already contributed to me leveling up in my life and my business.

If you’re stuck, if you’re spinning your wheels like I was, I recommend working with Angela. She not only knows the entrepreneurial life herself, but she’s got the credentials and knowledge on the coaching side of things to help you get through those limiting beliefs, set some big goals, take action to achieve those goals, and next-level your life.
